Washington cares little about seniors To the Editor: I hope I don’t offend anyone; I’m just telling the truth. First, I’m 73, and my husband is 79. We live on Social Security and a small pension. Auburn ‘wins’ effort to get trailer park cleaned up As the saying goes, you can’t fight City Hall. The City of Auburn will get what it wants — repairs or removal — of more than 20 trailer homes that were deemed uninhabitable more than a year ago. The city initially issued citations on the trailers and, after repairs weren’t made, a lawsuit against Catherine Pittman, the owner of the South Auburn Mobile Home Park.
